What it’s about. Touristikmanager Jan Steiner soll das heruntergekommene "Hotel Liberta" wieder flott machen. Voller Tatendrang reist der ehrgeizige Businessman gen Süden. Aber er kennt die Italiener schlecht. Erst als er sich von der schönen Gastronomin Maria Boldrini helfen lässt, gehen die Arbeiten im Hotel voran. Allerdings verlangt die Deutsch-Italienerin eine Gegenleistung: Damit sie einen Vorschuss aufs Erbe bekommt, soll Jan ihren katholischen Verlobten spielen. Jan nimmt also einen Schnellkurs in den vier Kardinaltugenden und den sieben Todsünden. Schneller als beide glauben, wird aus den falschen "Verlobten" ein echtes Liebespaar. Was wird Jans Braut Susanne dazu sagen? Die romantische Komödie spielt mit den Irrungen der Liebe und versüßt uns den Abend mit mediterranem "Dolce Vita".
