What it’s about. Während des Zweiten Weltkrieges bekommt Sergeant Waskow für seinen Stützpunkt im abgelegenen Nordwesten Russlands fünf junge Soldatinnen zugeteilt. Eigentlich weitab der Front, wird die Lage ernst, als Waskow und die Frauen plötzlich einer 16-köpfigen Gruppe deutscher Fallschirmjäger gegenüber stehen. Die Frauen nehmen den ungleichen Kampf auf, und obwohl sie eine nach der anderen ums Leben kommen, gelingt es ihnen, die Deutschen aufzuhalten und zu töten.
