What it’s about. Ettore hat die letzten fünf Jahre wegen eines Raubüberfalls im Gefängnis verbracht. Sobald er aus dem Gefängnis entlassen wurde, kann er nirgendwo hin, seine Frau hat mit ihm Schluss gemacht und möchte nicht, dass er ihre kleine Tochter kennenlernt, die kurz vor seiner Verhaftung geboren wurde. Allein und verzweifelt streift Ettore durch die Straßen Roms und trifft auf einen seltsamen alten Mann, Nicola. Er beschließt, ihn auszunutzen und auszurauben. Aber nachdem er in sein Haus eingebrochen ist, stellt Ettore fest, dass Nicola nichts zu stehlen hat, und außerdem sagt ihm der alte Mann etwas ziemlich Seltsames: Er behauptet, der Weihnachtsmann zu sein.
