Hoffmann überlebt und wird von nun an von der Polizei als ein Terrorist, der einen Polizisten abstechen wollte, dargestellt, die linke Szene dagegen sieht ihn als Held. Als er ohne Erinnerung in einem Krankenhaus aufwacht, und zuerst einmal wieder lernen muss richtig zu reden und sich zu bewegen, entschließt er sich selbst herauszufinden was wirklich geschah.
