What it’s about. Nach einem Herzinfarkt glaubt der in die Jahre gekommene Psychiater Pierre-François am Ende zu sein. Er ist der sexuellen Obsessionen seiner Patientinnen überdrüssig, seine Ehe ist nur noch ein gegenseitiges Dulden. Da lernt er auf einer Zugfahrt die Tennisspielerin Odile kennen und verliebt sich in sie. Seine Lebensgeister scheinen neu zu erwachen. Er umwirbt sie und lässt es sich sogar gefallen, dass sie mehr mit ihm spielt, als ihn zu erhören. Sie träumt davon, in einer Stripshow von vielen Männern bewundert zu werden. Das erkennt auch Jeanjean, ein Jahrmarktsbudenbesitzer, der eine Stripshow betreibt und Odile für die Show eines Freundes anwerben will. Auf der Fahrt dorthin begleitet Pierre-François die beiden, leidet aber immer mehr daran, dass Odile seinem Drängen nicht nachgibt...
