What it’s about. Eigentlich führt der erfolgreiche Ingenieur Richard Mason eine mustergültige Ehe. Doch seit seine Frau Katherine bemerkt hat, dass Richard sich in ihre jüngere Schwester Evelyn verliebt hat, kriselt es heftig. Bald erträgt Richard die Situation nicht mehr. Er beschließt, seine Frau umzubringen, und tüftelt einen komplizierten Plan aus. Das perfekte Verbrechen gelingt scheinbar. Während Richard alle Welt glauben lässt, er wäre nach einem komplizierten Beinbruch für längere Zeit an den Rollstuhl gefesselt, tötet er seine Frau auf einer abgelegenen Bergstraße und versenkt ihren Wagen in einer tiefen Schlucht. Schon bald nach der Tat gesteht er Katherines Schwester Evelyn seine Liebe, doch er muss betrübt feststellen, dass sie seine Gefühle nicht erwidert.

How it landed. With an audience score of 6.6/10, Konflikt has drawn a solid, mixed-to-positive response. It went on to earn $3.7M at the box office.
