What it’s about. Die junge amerikanische Fotografin Shai ist nach Bombay gekommen, um die Heimat ihrer Eltern mit Bildern zu erkunden. Dort trifft sie auf den erfolgreichen Künstler Arun, mit dem sie eine Liebesnacht verbringt. Nachdem die Wege der beiden sich wieder trennen, versinkt Arun ganz in den persönlichen Videotagebüchern seiner Vormieterin Yasmin. Shai hingegen begegnet dem jungen Wäscher Munno, der von einer Bollywood-Karriere träumt, die von vornherein zum Scheitern verurteilt ist, da er der Unterschicht angehört.
