What it’s about. 1946 emigriert der junge Chinese Zee Oui nach Thailand, um dort ein besseres Leben zu führen. Doch er wird dort immer mehr in die Isolation gedrängt. In seiner Wahnvorstellung glaubt er, diese Suppe könne ihn von seiner Krankheit heilen.
