Neben einer einbeinigen Tänzerin und einem Luftballonfigurenmacher gehört auch Schnulzensänger Lou Canova. Dessen beste Tage liegen schon etwas zurück, doch dann eröffnet sich dem ehemaligen Star die Chance auf ein großes Comeback. Diesem Ziel steht allerdings noch ein Problem im Wege, bei dem er Danny um Hilfe bittet. Es geht um seine Geliebte Tina. Ohne ihre moralische Unterstützung aus dem Publikum bekommt Lou auf der Bühne keinen Ton heraus. Der Haken: Lou ist verheiratet. Also soll Danny die Tina auf das Konzert bringen und so tun, als wäre sie seine Freundin. Dummerweise hat die Dame jedoch Kontakte zur Mafia und so stehen bald zwei Gangster bei Danny auf der Matte. Sie wollen ihm an den Kragen, weil sie ihn für Tinas heimlichen Lover halten.
