In dieser Welt des Glückspiels, der Schmuggler und der Killer trifft Gilda auf Mundsons rechte Hand Johnny Farrell, mit dem sie früher mal eine kurze, aber stürmische Affäre hatte. Ausgerechnet Johnny erhält von Mundson den Auftrag auf Gilda aufzupassen. Johnny versucht, standhaft zu bleiben und erweckt dadurch Gildas Ehrgeiz, ihn erneut zu verführen. Das Satansweib macht ihm das Leben zur Hölle.
