What it’s about. Wir schreiben das Jahr 1944, Atze und Samuel betätigen sich gelegentlich auf dem Schwarzmarkt, halten sich aber meist still und warten darauf, dass die Amerikaner kommen. Als das letzte deutsche U-Boot, die U-900, zu einem letzten Einsatz geschickt wird, legt sich Atze dummerweise mit dem General diese Mission an und muss untertauchen. Gemeinsam mit seinem Freund Samuel und der Schauspielerin Maria, die sich hierfür als Mann verkleidet, schmuggelt er sich daher selbst auf die U-900 und gibt sich als Kapitän aus. Da er von der Seefahrt keine Ahnung hat und immer seltsamere Befehle gibt, schöpft die Mannschaft schon bald verdacht.
