What it’s about. Die Highschool-Babysitterin Jill wird eines Abends während sie Dienst tut, von einem Anrufer terrorisiert. Entnervt bittet sie die Polizei, den Anrufer festzustellen, als er sich schon wieder meldet und ihr die berühmte Frage "Haben sie schon nach den Kindern gesehen?" stellt. Tatsächlich findet sie die Kinder ermordet auf und erfährt kurz darauf, daß die Anrufe aus demselben Haus kommen. Knapp kann sie dem Killer entkommen, dieser wandert ins Gefängnis. Sieben Jahre später jedoch kommt er wieder frei und die Anrufe bei Jill, jetzt selbst Mutter, beginnen wieder.
