What it’s about. Richter Poulgrain hat sich in seiner Garage das Leben genommen. Durch einen unglücklichen Zufall macht sich das Auto mit dem Toten selbstständig und landet in einem Brunnen in einem Shopping-Center. Dort machen die Cops Ben Kinnear und Mike gerade Pause und sind daher sofort zur Stelle. Im Affekt schießen sie auf den bereits Toten und werden wegen dieser peinlichen Aktion in den Straßendienst versetzt… Obwohl sich nun andere Beamte um den Fall Poulgrain kümmern, lassen auch Ben und Mike nicht locker. Dabei haben die beiden Cops allerdings überhaupt kein Glück und nachdem sie auch noch ein Haus in Brand gesteckt haben, steckt ihr Chef sie in den Nachtdienst - doch auch dort ist keiner vor ihnen sicher
