What it’s about. Die 18-jährige Angela aus Deutschland ist passionierte Comic-Zeichnerin und lernt auf ihrer Abiturfeier den japanischen DJ Yamamoto kennen. Er erzählt ihr von seiner Bekannten Monika, die in Tokio als Hostess in einem Nachtclub arbeitet und weckt Angelas Interesse. Sie ist schnell von der Kultur des Landes und den japanischen Mangas fasziniert und beschließt kurzerhand nach Tokio zu fliegen, um dort in der WG von Monika unterzukommen und ebenfalls als Hostess anzufangen. Im "Golden Gate Club" gerät die junge Frau allerdings gleich mit einigen der anderen europäischen Mädchen aneinander und wird aufgrund ihres schnellen Erfolges bei den Männern zunehmend von ihnen schikaniert. Als Angela dann dem spurlosen Verschwinden der russischen Hostess Larissa auf den Grund geht, gerät sie in ein mysteriöses und gefährliches Verwirrspiel…
