What it’s about. Der Drogenbaron William Spinks (John Savage) hat ein Auge auf die junge Sadie Hill geworfen. Er schickt seine zwei Handlanger Frank (Steven Bauer) und Bobby (John Corbett) los, um Kontakt zu ihr aufzunehmen. Durch ein Missgeschick kommt Sadie allerdings ums Leben. Dabei sollte sie beim nächsten großen Deal eigentlich mit zum Paket gehören. Aus Angst vor den Konsequenzen versuchen Frank und Bobby schnellstmöglich einen Ersatz aufzutreiben, ein Mädchen, das Sadie zum Verwechseln ähnlich sieht, in der Hoffnung, ihren Boss damit täuschen zu können. So schreiben sie 300.000 $ als Belohnung für denjenigen aus, der die perfekte Doppelgängerin findet. Joe Mulligan (Jerry O'Connell) möchte die Gelegenheit ergreifen und damit auch seinem hochverschuldeten Bruder Holt (Justin Long) aus der Patsche helfen. Wenig später stößt Holt eines Abends zufällig auf ein Mädchen namens Lacey (Gillian Jacobs), das der Verstorbenen tatsächlich wie aus dem Gesicht geschnitten scheint.
