What it’s about. Helsinki 1962: Elsa arbeitet als Hutmacherin und Teilzeit-Medium. Als die kommunistischen Weltfestspiele der Jugend und Studenten stattfinden, trifft sie plötzlich ihre alte, große Liebe Jan wieder, den sie ewig nicht mehr gesehen hat. Jan ist Jazzmusiker und tritt als Teil einer tschechoslowakischen Delegation bei dem Festival auf. Nach und nach entsteht zwischen den beiden wieder eine zarte Verbindung, und Elsa wird klar: Jan muss im Westen bleiben. Doch schwere Turbulenzen sind vorprogrammiert. Denn die Tschechen werden mit Argusaugen bewacht, und Elsa soll mit ihren hellseherischen Fähigkeiten eigentlich die Polizei unterstützen. Die legendäre Kaurismäki-Darstellerin Kati Outinen spielt die Hauptrolle in dieser hinreißenden romantischen Komödie.
