What it’s about. Der junge mittellose Franz Woyzeck lebt mit seiner Freundin Marie und dem unehelichen Kind in einer kleinen Wohnung in Berlin-Wedding. In seiner Verzweiflung nimmt er an einer ominösen medizinischen Studie teil, bei der er undefinierbare Pillen schlucken muss, die ihm Wahnvorstellungen, Halluzinationen und vorübergehende Impotenz bescheren. Durch den Druck, schnell viel Geld verdienen zu müssen, vernachlässigt er Marie, die sich dadurch immer mehr zum Tambourmajor, einer Berliner Kiez-Größe, hingezogen fühlt.
