What it’s about. Wenige Tage vor der Heimkehr ihres bei der Polizei beschäftigten Mannes Ludger von einer Fortbildung in den USA wacht Eva eines Morgens neben ihrem leblosen Baby auf, das an plötzlichem Kindstod verstorben ist. Unfähig, sich jemandem anzuvertrauen, irrt Eva unter Schock durch die Stadt. Als sie in einem Parkhaus zufällig auf ein unbeaufsichtigtes Kleinkind trifft, nimmt sie es in ihrer Verzweiflung mit und gibt es als ihr eigenes aus. Nach der Rückkehr ihres Mannes ermitteln seine Kollegen im Fall des entführten Babys. Ohne zu ahnen, dass ihn dieser Fall selbst betrifft, bringt Evas Mann die Ermittlungen einen großen Schritt voran.
