What it’s about. Der Sozialpädagoge Wolski möchte auf einer unbewohnten Insel im südpazifischen Tonga ein Resozialisierungsprojekt für Jugendliche ins Leben rufen. Er stellt den 16-jährigen Marcel, der seinen Betreuer im Drogenrausch niedergestochen hat, vor die Wahl: Knast oder Südsee. Doch auch wenn es sich um das Paradies handelt, das Leben auf Tonga ist hart. Und Marcel kann seiner Wut auch dort nicht Herr werden. In einer gewaltsamen Auseinandersetzung richtet er einen Tonganer so schlimm zu, dass er im Gefängnis landet. Wolskis Fürsprache und ein milder Richter versuchen, vorerst das Schlimmste zu verhindern …
