What it’s about. Auf einer Insel eines fiktiven Archipels versiegen die Quellen. Getrieben vom Überlebenswillen, entwickeln die Bewohner die erste Maschine der Insel: eine Wasserpumpe. Doch ihr Leben bleibt gefährlich und mühsam, so daß immer mehr Menschen beschließen, aufs Festland zu ziehen. Als zwei der Bewohner die Insel wechseln, kommen sie zu unverhofftem Wohlstand.
