What it’s about. Mirco ist ein ganz normales Kind im Italien der frühen 70er-Jahre. Er spielt gern Blinde Kuh mit seinen Freunden und liebt es, mit seinem Vater ins Kino zu gehen. Doch dann verliert er durch einen tragischen Unfall sein Augenlicht und muss in einem Internat für blinde Kinder weit weg von seinen Eltern zur Schule gehen. Mirco kommt mit der Trennung von seinen Eltern und mit seiner Blindheit nicht zurecht und reagiert mit Wut und Aggression auf seine neue Situation. In Don Giulio findet er jedoch einen verständnisvollen Lehrer, der auf seine Bedürfnisse eingeht, und in Francesca, der Tochter der Hausmeisterin, eine neue Freundin. Mirco beginnt langsam, seine Umwelt durch Geräusche neu wahrzunehmen.
