What it’s about. An Bord der Erdraumstation PAX üben drei Astronauten, Captain Anthony Vico (John Saxon), Dr. Allison Crowley (Kathleen Miller), and Dr. William Scott (Keene Curtis) Experimente im Kälteschlaf. Als ein Hagel von großen Asteroiden droht, die Erde zu zerstören, verlängert man ihren Kälteschlaf um 180 Jahre und schickt sie auf eine Kreisbahn um die Sonne. Auf der Suche nach ihren Verwandten und Kollegen, die in den gleichen Kälteschlaf auf der Erde gehen wollten, geraten sie in die Gemeinde Eterna, die aus unsterblichen Klonen besteht. Doch das Genmaterial ist verbraucht und die Astronauten sollen es unfreiwillig auffrischen. Später findet man - in wüstenähnlicher Gegend - eine Dschungelenklave, in der Mensch und Tier gemeinsam leben. Doch ein kriegerischer Stamm bedroht auch hier die Idylle...
