What it’s about. Sein größter Traum ist es, später als Profi für seinen Lieblingsverein Belfast United zu kicken. Doch für eine solche Karriere reicht sein Talent nicht aus. Als der Verein eines Tages einen brasilianischen Fußballstar verpflichtet, fasst Danny einen ehrgeizigen Plan: Um sich die brasilianische Spielfertigkeit und Leichtigkeit anzutrainieren, will er Samba- und Mambounterricht nehmen. Er besucht eine Tanzschule und lernt Lateinamerikanische Tänze. Das neu erworbene Rhythmusgefühl kann er wenig später tatsächlich auf dem Fußballfeld umsetzen. Darüber hinaus erweist er sich als begnadeter Tänzer. Das findet auch das schöne Upper-Class-Girl Lucy, die seine Tanzpartnerin wird, nachdem ihr snobistischer Freund sich bei einem Fußballspiel verletzt hat. Dummerweise verliebt sich Arbeitersohn Danny schließlich in Lucy. Ein sportlicher Wettkampf um die Gunst des Mädchens nimmt seinen Lauf... (Text RTL2)
