What it’s about. 1982 während des Libanonkriegs besetzte die israelische Armee die alte Festung Beaufort im Südlibanon - gegen den ausdrücklichen Befehl des Oberkommandos. 18 Jahre später, im Mai 2000 soll mit dem Abzug der isrealischen Armee aus dem Libanon auch Beaufort aufgegeben werden. Der junge Kommandant Liraz bereitet die Sprengung der Festung vor, doch das Kommando zum Abzug lässt auf sich warten. Unter dessen gehen die Kämpfe weiter. Angst macht sich unter den Soldaten breit.
