What it’s about. Wien an der Schwelle zum 20. Jh.: Stanzi Hübner kommt in die Stadt und trifft auf Willy Jurek vom Deutschmeister-Regiment. Nachdem die beiden sich näher gekommen sind, hat Stanzi, die in der Backstube ihrer Tante arbeitet, einen kühnen Einfall, wie sie einem eben von Willy komponierten Marsch zu Ehren verhelfen kann: Sie fügt das Notenpapier der für den Kaiser bestimmten Backware bei. Zeitigt dies zunächst auch nur negative Wirkung, so wird Willys Marsch durch Stanzis Initiative doch noch ein voller Erfolg.
