What it’s about. Abel Davos will zusammen mit seiner Frau Clemente und seinen beiden kleinen Söhne wieder zurück in ihr Heimatland Frankreich fliehen. Die beiden Gangster wurden in Italien zum Tode verurteilt und sie erhoffen sich in Frankreich - auch mit Hilfe ihrer alten Pariser Freunde - einen neuen Anfang. Doch die Flucht erfordert dramatische Opfer und Abel muß erfahren, daß ihn auch die alten Kumpels im Stich lassen. Einzig ein Fremder namens Starck scheint ihm helfen zu wollen...
