What it’s about. Der eifersüchtige Star-Dirigent Montemayor weiss, dass seine schöne, jüngere Frau Winifred ihn mit einem Amerikaner namens Jack Mortimer betrügt. Nach der Orchesterprobe fährt er mit dem Taxi zum Bahnhof, entdeckt Mortimer und erschiesst ihn an einer Kreuzung vom Rücksitz des Taxis aus. Der Schuss ist im Verkehrslärm nicht zu hören. Der Taxifahrer Sponer gerät in Panik, als er mit dem inzwischen toten Mortimer in seinem Wagen sitzt.
