Allerdings stockt der Arbeitsprozess, da es momentan nicht möglich ist, eine Eisstraße zu der Basis im Eis zu erschließen, weshalb die benötigten Maschinen immer noch nicht vor Ort sind. So sitzt die Mannschaft den ganzen Tag herum und muss einzig feststellen, dass die Temperatur in letzter Zeit immer weiter anstieg. Dann jedoch geschehen mysteriöse Dinge und die Leute der Station scheinen durchzudrehen.
