Oma Vera, rüstig und trinkfreudig, reist mit Hund und Schnaps aus einer polnischen Kleinstadt per Bus nach Pinneberg, um mit Enkelin Linda, deren Ehemann Lothar und den beiden Kindern Jan und Christina ihren Geburtstag zu feiern. Gemeinsam mit Lothars spießig-verklemmten Eltern verbringt man dank Omas Motto "Ein Schnaps, ein Lied" einen feucht-fröhlichen Abend. Doch am nächsten Morgen ist Oma tot.
