What it’s about. Gaius Valerius und seine Legionen sind von den Galliern besiegt. Cäsar befürchtet, daß durch die dauernden Rückschläge die Kampfmoral seiner Truppen verfällt und so entsendet er Gaius‘ Sohn Marcus, mit neuen Truppen in das Kampfgebiet. Der stammesälteste Gallier und Anführer der gallischen Truppen, Warfus, schlägt Rom den Frieden vor. Doch sein Feldhauptmann wiegelt die gallischen Truppen erneut auf und der Angriff auf Rom beginnt… Bei einem römischen Überfall wird Antea, die Tochter von Warfus, gefangengenommen. Als Sklavin Roms wird sie zur entscheidenden Figur im blutigen Kampf um das römische Imperium.
