Die Schelle soll der Schlüssel zum Geheimnis des Jenatsch Mörders sein. Sprechers Leben wird zunehmend von Jenatsch bestimmt und stürzt seine Beziehung zu seiner Freundin Nina in eine Krise. Um sein Leben wieder in Ordnung zu bringen reist er ins Bündnerland. Dort gerät er in ein Maskentreiben… und erschlägt Jenatsch. Sprechers Erscheinung im 17. Jahrhundert ist der aus der Zukunft gedungene Mörder Jenatschs. Im Stürzen reisst ihm der sterbende Jenatsch eine Schelle vom Kostüm.
