What it’s about. Fuad Ramses zieht mit seiner Familie aus den USA nach Frankreich, um dort ein amerikanisches Restaurant zu betreiben. Doch weil das Geschäft nicht so recht florieren will, nimmt Fuad einen zweiten Job in einem Museum für altägyptische Kultur an. Während seiner langen Nachtschichten fühlt er sich immer mehr zu der Statue der Göttin Ishtar hingezogen, die mit der Zeit beginnt, in Visionen zu ihm zu sprechen. Fuad verfällt ihrem diabolischen Charme und beginnt anschließend ein ganz neues Leben voll mit Mord und Kannibalismus. Um seine neue Herrscherin zu ehren, bereitet er ein Festmahl vor, bei dem er ihr Blut, Organe und Gedärme von Menschen als Opfergaben bringen will. Fuad verfällt immer mehr dem Wahnsinn, bis er nur noch eine willenlose Puppe von Ishtar ist. Und dann beginnt sie auch noch, nach dem Blut von Fuads Frau und Tochter zu dürsten …
