Leutnant Theo Kojak (Telly Savalas) ist zwar als erster am Tatort, aber ihm werden hunderte weiterer Polizisten an die Seite gestellt, da es sich bei den Toten um Prominententöchter handelt, weshalb die Polizei unter Aufklärungsdruck gerät.
