What it’s about. Buster möchte gern heiraten, doch der strenge Herr Papa verlangt vom Schwiegersohn in spe, daß er nachweisen kann, daß sein Töchterchen auch gut versorgt ist. Da bietet Buster an, in die Stadt zu gehen und dort sein Glück zu machen - sollte dies nicht gelingen, so wird er sich selbst erschiessen. Als Briefe aus der Stadt eintreffen, klingt auch alles sehr positiv. Buster arbeitet in einem Hospital, an der Wall Street, am Broadway und wird später sogar von der Polizei auf Schritt und Tritt begleitet. Nur - er hat vergessen, die näheren Umstände zu erwähnen - und die sind auch nicht ganz irrelevant.
