What it’s about. Der gutmütige Kahraman leitet ein beschauliches türkisches Bad in einer idyllischen anatolischen Kleinstadt. Eines Tages jedoch kommt der Bauunternehmer Tuncay in die Stadt und tritt an Kahraman heran, um ihm sein Bad abzukaufen, da er plant, ein großes Einkaufszentrum an der Stelle zu errichten. Kahraman zeigt sich von dem Angebot wenig begeistert, doch hat er bald nicht nur Tuncay, sondern auch den Barbier Cemil gegen sich, der es sogar fertig bringt, die anderen Ladenbesitzer der Straße, deren Geschäfte ebenfalls dem Erdboden gleichgemacht werden müssten, vom geplanten Einkaufszentrum zu überzeugen. Kahraman möchte sein Bad um nichts in der Welt aufgeben. Da er jedoch hochverschuldet ist, muss schnell eine Lösung her, um Tuncays und Cemils Pläne zu vereiteln...
