What it’s about. Als Bradley Darnell Lyles (Ephraim Sykes) Mutter herausfindet, dass ihr Sohn schwul ist, wirft sie ihn kurzerhand aus dem Haus. Also macht er sich auf in die große Stadt und stolpert von der Straße in eine fremde Welt: die Ballroom-Szene mit ihren Wahlfamilien aus queeren Jugendlichen wie Brad, die sich Performance- und Vogueing-Wettbewerbe mit anderen 'Häusern' liefern und deren Traum es ist, in der echten Welt zum Star zu werden.
