Released in 2017, Kill Switch is an action, thriller and science-fiction film directed by Tim Smit, running about 91 minutes. “Two Worlds Collide” — that tagline sets the tone.

What it’s about. Eigentlich hätte es ein Triumph der Menschheit werden sollen: Ein groß angelegter Versuch wurde gestartet, der die Energieversorgung der Welt mit Hilfe von Paralleluniversen auf Dauer sichern würde. Doch etwas läuft überhaupt nicht so wie geplant und plötzlich steht die Erde kurz vor der Auslöschung. Gejagt von Dronen und Soldaten muss der Pilot und Physiker Will Porter nun versuchen, seinen Planeten vor der Implosion zu bewahren, was nur möglich ist, wenn er einen ganz bestimmten Verteilerkasten, die sogenannte Redivider Box, aus einem Turm herausholt. Nur wenn ihm das gelingt, wird auch seine Familie die nahende Katastrophe überleben.
