What it’s about. Wie jeden Samstagabend treffen sich vier Kumpels im Diner "Don's Plum", um bei Snack und Softdroge Weltbewegendes wie z.B. den Sex in all seinen Spielarten zu erörtern. Heute abend sollte zur Abwechslung mal jeder ein Mädel mitbringen, was bis auf Derek (Leonardo DiCaprio) auch allen gelungen ist. Prompt entwickelt sich Derek zum Partyschreck, beleidigt alles und jeden, um schließlich doch noch mit einer der anwesenden Damen anzubandeln. R. D. Robbs grobkörniges und in schwarz-weiß gedrehtes Werk aus der frühen Filmstudentenzeit orientiert sich stark am Stil von Richard Linklater. Es wurde vor allem deshalb (nicht) berühmt, weil Ko-Hauptdarsteller DiCaprio den Film in den USA als "imageschädigend" aus dem Verkehr ziehen ließ.
