Released in 2015, Ted 2 is a komödie and fantasy film directed by Seth MacFarlane, running about 115 minutes. “Die Donner Buddies sind zurück.” — that tagline sets the tone.

What it’s about. Der kiffende, saufende und fluchende Teddybär Ted und sein bester Freund John Bennett sind zurück. Letzterem kommt nach Teds Hochzeit mit seiner großen Liebe Tami-Lynn eine ganz besondere Rolle zu. Weil Ted und seine menschliche Frau nun nämlich auch noch Eltern werden wollen, die Biologie den Zeugungsakt zwischen Mensch und Teddybär jedoch unmöglich macht, soll John Samen spenden. Abseits dessen bliebe aber auch noch eine weitere Hürde zu überwinden: Damit Ted Papa sein darf, muss er beweisen, dass er eine waschechte Person ist. Also wenden sich die zwei Kumpels an die taffe Anwältin Samantha Jackson und mit ihrer Hilfe schließlich an den renommierten Menschenrechtsanwalt Patrick Meighan, um Teds Bürgerrechte einzufordern.

How it landed. With an audience score of 6.3/10, Ted 2 has drawn a solid, mixed-to-positive response. It went on to earn $215.9M at the box office.
