What it’s about. Vor Jahren ereignete sich ein tragischer Unfall: Durch betrunkene Teenager stirbt die 12-jährige Angela völlig unerwartet für ihren alleinerziehenden Vater Hunter Isth.Dieser schafft es nicht, sich von dem traumatischen Ereignis zu erholen, woraufhin er durchdreht und in die Wälder flieht. In den folgenden Jahren kommen immer mehr Menschen in der Gegend ums Leben und mit der Zeit werden die Geschichte der toten Tochter und ihres verrückten Vaters zu einer Art düsteren und blutigen Legende. In der Gegenwart wird die schon länger in der Psychiatrie lebende Jenn schließlich entlassen. Die Geheilte ist allerdings noch äußerst zurückhaltend gegenüber ihren Mitmenschen, weswegen sie von ihren Freunden zu einem Campingausflug in die Wälder überredet wird.
