What it’s about. Sieben Highschool-Freunde feiern in der Wüste eine wilde Party. Auf dem Nachhauseweg verlassen sie den ausgewiesenen Pfad, um bei einer verlassenen Goldmine eine Stelle zu suchen, wo der Drogenkaktus Peyote wächst. Die Warnung des paranoiden Tankstellenbetreibers Petey (Anthony Connel), daß sie bei der Mine nur den Tod finden werden, schlagen sie in den Wind. Tatsächlich entwickelt sich die Suche zu einem Horrortrip, wie er schlimmer nicht von Drogen ausgelöst werden könnte: Kannibalen durchstreifen den öden Landstrich und sie sind sehr, sehr hungrig.
