What it’s about. Miranda Grey ist Psychologin in einer schlossartigen, abgelegenen Anstalt, glücklich verheiratet mit ihrem Vorgesetzten Douglas und von ihrem Kollegen Pete begehrt. Als sie eines Nachts während einer Autofahrt auf einer Nebenroute einer seltsamen Frauengestalt ausweichen muss, geht diese plötzlich in Flammen auf und Miranda wird ohnmächtig. Als sie wieder zu sich kommt, sind drei Tage vergangen, Douglas ist ermordet worden und sie sitzt in ihrer eigenen Anstalt fest, als Mörder ihres Mannes. Nur langsam und bruchstückhaft kommen die Erinnerungen zurück, als Miranda merkt, dass eine unsichtbare Macht sich an sie gehängt hat, ein Rachegeist, der Vergeltung sucht. Um das Rätsel hinter den verschiedenen Toden zu lösen muss sie fliehen und gleichzeitig herausfinden, was die einsitzende mehrfache Mörderin Chloe Sava mit allem zu tun hat …
