What it’s about. Vor langer Zeit lebte in Kiew ein Fürst mit seiner Nichte Zabava. Diese wollte heiraten. Und zwar den armen Jüngling Yelisey. Gegen die Heiratswünsche im Allgemeinen hatte der Fürst nichts einzuwenden. Nur im Besonderen sollte es eigentlich ein reicher Bräutigam sein, denn der Fürst hatte Spielschulden. Deshalb musste er handeln: Er berief Yelisey zum Boten und schickte ihn mit Dobrynia, dem kühnen Recken auf eine gefährliche Reise. So wurde Platz für einen reichen Bräutigam. Doch die schöne Zabava protestierte. Deshalb handelt der Fürst erneut und deshalb wurde Zaba entführt...
