What it’s about. Die Familie des jungen Robert Huntington wird im Auftrag von Lord Alvein umgebracht und alles Hab und Gut verbrannt. Robert flüchtet mit seinem Cousin Will und seinen Cousinen Winnifred und Barbara in den Sherwood Forest. Dort lernt er auch Little John, Much und ihre Sherwood Bande kennen. Und bald stößt auch die Adlige Marian Lancaster zu ihnen, denn sie soll von Bischof Herford, adoptiert werden, da diese das goldene Kreuz, das sie um den Hals trägt haben wollen. Und so erleben die Freunde gemeinsam viele Abendteuer.
