What it’s about. In ihrer Studienzeit haben Reed Richards und Viktor von Doom zusammen an ersten Experimenten gearbeitet. Doch eines Tages geht eines davon entsetzlich schief und Doom wird für Tod erklärt. Einige Jahre später: Reed und seine Freunde Benjamin Grimm sowie die Geschwister Sue und Johnny Storm werden im Namen der Wissenschaft ins Weltall befördert. Im Orbit angelagt werden jedoch alle vier mit einer Überdosis kosmischer Strahlung verseucht. Wieder auf der Erde zurück, stellen die vier fest, dass ihre Körper fantastische Fähigkeiten besitzen. Als dann auch noch der größenwahnsinige Dr. Doom auf der Bildfläche erscheint, können nur noch die 'Fantastischen 4' größeres Unheil verhindern...
