What it’s about. An einem Sonntag im Oktober 1944 soll das deutsch-ungarische Kriegsbündnis zerfallen. Nikolaus von Horthy, ungarischer Reichsverweser, will ohne das Wissen seiner deutschen Verbündeten einen Waffenstillstand mit den Russen vereinbaren. Doch von Horthy hat nicht mit Hitlers bereits getroffenen Gegenmaßnahmen gerechnet. Um den Absprung Ungarns zu verhindern, bereitet die SS einen Sturm auf die Budapester Burg vor. Es beginnt eine Schreckensherrschaft der Nazitreuen.
