What it’s about. Bei einem schweren Verkehrsunfall verliert Anwalt McClain seine Frau und seine beiden Söhne. Er selbst überlebt. Doch sein Dasein erscheint ihm nun völlig sinnlos. Aber dann übernimmt er den Fall eines jungen Mannes, der wegen Mordes zum Tod verurteilt werden soll. Während er vor Gericht für das Leben seines Klienten kämpft, findet er selbst allmählich ins Leben zurück. Dabei hilft ihm auch die verständnisvolle Anna, eine kompetente Psychologin und Seelsorgerin, die vor Jahren selbst einen schweren Verlust verarbeiten musste. Mit ihrer Hilfe erkennt Mac schließlich, dass Gott noch einen Plan für sein Leben hat.
