What it’s about. Geschichtsprofessor Adam führt ein karges, langweiliges Leben zwischen Vorlesungen, Korrekturen und lieblosem Sex mit Freundin Mary. Doch eines Tages macht er in einem alten Independentfilm eine erstaunliche Entdeckung: Adam sieht einen Schauspieler, der ihm exakt gleicht. Nachdem er den Gedanken an seinen Doppelgänger nicht loswird, fasst Adam den Entschluss, ihn aufzuspüren und herauszufinden, was es mit ihm auf sich hat. Er beobachtet den mysteriösen Fremden und findet einige Dinge heraus: Der Name des Mannes ist Anthony – und selbst seine Stimme klingt exakt wie die von Adam. Schließlich nimmt der Professor Kontakt zu seinem Doppelgänger auf. Nachdem Anthony zunächst abweisend reagiert, lässt er sich irgendwann doch auf ein Treffen mit Adam ein.
