What it’s about. Jefferson Bailey ist ein Möchtegern-Sänger, der jedoch ein ernstes Problem hat: Lampenfieber. Aus diesem Grund ist seine Karriere scheinbar zum Scheitern verurteilt. Als wäre das nicht genug, sitzt ihm auch noch jemand im Nacken, dem er sehr viel Geld schuldet. Eher widerwillig lässt sich Bailey bereitschlagen, dem ihm fremden Augy zu helfen und ihn auf einer Reise nach Huntsville in Alabama zu begleiten. Die beiden kommen sich näher, werden trotz aller Unterschiede Freunde und Augy erklärt seinem Begleiter, das eigentlich er ihm hilft und zwar eine Erbschaft anzutreten. Doch je länger die Reise andauert, desto klarer wird, dass es Augy um etwas ganz Anderes geht. Seine Motive sind nicht gänzlich selbstlos, aber umso bewundernswerter...
