Mit bedächtiger Ironie erzähltes modernes Märchen um wahre Freundschaft, die vor allem dort gedeiht, wo man sie nie erwarten würde. Der stärkste Reiz des amüsant unterhaltenden Films liegt freilich im spitzbübischen Spiel Don Ameches.
